  • How often should I have a Hair Wash Day?
    We would recommend washing your hair 1-2 times a week as a happy medium. Over washing your hair strips your hair of the healthy oils and protection needed. But, under washing could lead to sweat and oil build up creating an unhealthy scalp. The aim of your Hair Wash Day and regime should be to maintain a balanced scalp without stripping away natural oils. However, we understand that everyone is different, and you should consider what works well for you depending on your hair type and lifestyle, after all, no two people are the same so why should your HWD regime be?
  • Are your products safe for chemically treated or dyed hair?
    Our products are safe for chemically treated or dyed hair. They are specifically formulated to nourish and protect all hair types, including those that have been chemically treated or coloured.
  • Are your products vegan-friendly?
    Our products are vegan-friendly, we ensure that all our formulations are free from animal-derived ingredients and are cruelty-free.
  • Is HWD a sustainable company?
    HWD is committed to sustainability. We prioritize eco-friendly practices, use sustainable sourcing for our ingredients, and ensure our packaging is recyclable or biodegradable. We continuously strive to reduce our environmental footprint and promote a greener future with bottle recycling/re-using initiatives coming in the future for all subscription customers with savings passed onto you.
  • How have your products been tested?
    Other than decades of tried and tested use dating back to our founders’ ancestors, our products undergo rigorous testing to ensure their safety and effectiveness. We perform a combination of lab-based evaluations, dermatologist reviews, and real-world testing with a diverse group of volunteers. Importantly, we do not conduct any animal testing; our testing methods are entirely cruelty-free.
  • How often should I use my Mane Blend?
    Our specialists recommend that you use your Mane Blend at least once a week, but for optimum results use every Hair Wash Day and in between if required to maintain your mane.
  • Can my Mane Blend be used on my beard?
    Of course, during your consultation you are asked whether your hair concerns relate to the hair on your head, or beard. Where your concern relates to your beard, we will curate an oil based on those needs and your skin type.
  • What’s the best way to use my Mane Blend?

  • How do you know what hair oil will help me?
    Prior to purchasing your Mane Blend, you will be required to complete a consultation form which we will use to understand your hair type, you concerns, your goals and your preferences. Our specialists at HWD will then curate a bespoke hair oil for you in line with your consultation.
  • What is in my Mane Blend?
    As each Mane Blend is curated in accordance with your consultation each person’s blend is bespoke and therefore varies. No two people are the same, so why should your Mane Blend be?
  • What will my Mane Blend smell like?
    During your consultation, we will ask you if you have any preferences, we have a range of essential oils you can choose from which will be the base note of your blend.
  • Do I have to tell you about me and my hair each time I order?
    If you opt for our subscription service you will not need to fill out a consultation each time, unless you want to make any changes to your Mane Blend, in which case you should contact us here. If you opt for a one-time purchase, you will be required to fill out a consultation each time you order.
  • Is there any way I can make sure I am never without my Mane Blend?
    At HWD we understand and appreciate the importance of good hair health as well as the confidence it enriches which is why we offer a subscription service ensuring you have a supply of your Mane Blend on hand every Hair Wash Day.
  • What if my hair needs change?
    If you usually get your Mane Blend bi-monthly via our subscription service, simply contact us here letting us know that you need a new consultation. We will send you a new form to fill out and ensure that your next Mane Blend is up to date with your new needs at no additional cost. Please note that we recommend at least 2 weeks-notice of any change so that one of our specialists can look at your consultation and formulate your new Mane Blend for you.
  • What if there is an ingredient or smell that I don’t like and I don’t want it in my Mane Blend?
    During your consultation you will be able to select any preferred oils, herbals and essential oils. You will also be given the option to tell us if there are any oils, herbals or essential oils that you do not want in your Mane Blend.
  • What if I have allergies?
    During your consultation we will ask you about any allergies and health conditions that you think we should know about. However, please remember HWD is not your doctor and our consultants do not have access to your medical records, as such, where concerned you should always contact your doctor. We always recommend doing a patch test before your first use of your Mane Blend as a precautionary measure.
  • How do I order via the subscription service?
    On our Shop page there are three options to choose from. You can either make a one time purchase or a bi-monthly subscription. With our Subscription Service we will deliver your Mane Blend to you within 8 weeks so that you have enough for every Hair Wash Day. We offer two plans for our Subscription Service.
  • What if my hair needs change and I usually order via subscription?
    If you usually get your Mane Blend bi-monthly via our subscription service, simply contact us here letting us know that you need a new consultation. We will send you a new form to fill out and ensure that your next Mane Blend is up to date with your new needs at no additional cost. Please note that we recommend at least 2 weeks-notice of any change so that one of our specialists can look at your consultation and formulate your new Mane Blend for you.
  • How often should I expect deliveries through the subscription service?
    We aim to deliver every 8 weeks, but we may deliver sooner, (no sooner than 6 weeks after your last delivery) to ensure that you are not without your Mane Blend.
  • What if I need my order sooner?
    Please contact us and let us know and we can try and accommodate. Please bare in mind it can take up to two weeks for our curators to blend your Mane Blend as we make a fresh batch every time your subscription is due.
  • How can I cancel my subscription?
    Log into your account and under the subscription tab you are able to manage your subscription and make any cancellations. Alternatively, you can contact us and we can do this for you.
  • How long do I have to wait for my Mane Blend to be dispatched?
    If you have a subscription we will dispatch your order so that it arrives roughly the same time every other month. If you needed your Mane Blend a little sooner, contact us and we will try to accommodate in getting your elixir to you earlier than usual. If you are purchasing on a one-time basis, we aim to dispatch your mane blend within 10 days. But please be aware during busy periods it could take up to 2 weeks for our specialists to review your consultation form and curate a formula for you which we will then need to blend, quality check and package. If you need it sooner we will always see what we can do so please contact us.
  • Do you ship to me?
    We ship across the UK, Europe, USA and Canada.
  • How long does delivery take?
    Most of our products are shipped within 24 hours of receipt of your order. Mane Blends are shipped within 10 days of receipt of your order. During busier periods, such as during Sales and during Christmas timeframes may vary. Standard delivery takes between 2-5 business days.
